Child Life Services

The Child Life Program at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital helps young patients cope with their fears and anxieties by offering pre-operative sessions and therapeutic activities that are tailored to meet their social, emotional, and developmental needs.

Family Resource Center

Located on the 12th floor of the Golisano Children's Hospital, the Family Resource Center provides health information services and resources to our patients, families, and community members so that they are better equipped to make informed health decisions.

Social Work Services

The staff in Social Work Services are available to help families solve problems and cope with the challenges of having a child in the hospital.

Pediatric Spiritual Care

Being in the hospital can be scary for children and their families. Our Pediatric Chaplain, Jane Dasher, as well as our other staff chaplains and Spiritual Care volunteers, are here to offer you spiritual and emotional support whether you are involved in a faith tradition or not. You can ask a nurse to call us, or you can call us directly at extension 4–5183.

Caring Bridge

CaringBridge provides protected online spaces where people can post health updates 24/7 to anyone, anywhere, at no cost. People are able to stay connected and leave supportive messages during any health event, big or small, acute or long-term. Safe Kids Upstate NY

Safe Kids Upstate NY is a grass roots coalition that advocates and educates to prevent unintentional injuries of children 14 and under. a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of organizations dedicated to preventing accidental injury. We know our efforts are needed because as many as 90% of accidental injuries can be prevented.
